TSG now uses D3O® foam across the majority of their protector range

In line with our continual quest for market-leading innovation and progress, TSG is proud to announce with immediate effect our partnership with D3O®, the UK pioneers of research and development in shock absorbing materials. All TSG bike knee and elbow pads, as well as the Frag Shirt Advanced, will incorporate the new D3O material as of Spring 2014. "The new generation of D3O material has exceeded our expectations, superior as it is in shock absorption and tensile strength to even our own VEP production. Given our resolve to continually offer the best protection within the action sports market, a partnership with D3O is an organic, logical conclusion," notes Ruedi Herger, CEO of TSG. D3O is a patented technology used to create a soft and flexible shock absorbing material which boasts unique molecular properties. Under ordinary conditions its molecules flow freely, but upon impact, they lock together to produce an instantaneously more dense foam which in turn absorbs more
impact energy and greatly reduces force transmission.

TSG will be using their very own moulds in order to offer the D3O foam in the tried- and-true TSG horseshoe design. This ingenious, ergonomic, pre-shaped design safeguards the joints and ensures that the protection sits securely in the right place.
Moreover, TSG equips all D3O protectors with a pierce-proof (and for most models, removable) insert. This small, thin and extremely flexible PE-insert defends the foam from sharp-object penetration and subsequent joint damage.
Starting Spring 2014 TSG will offer the most technically-advanced protection solution for bikers and skaters: high-performance, shock-absorbing D3O material in a horseshoe shape, integrated into highly-durable fabrics and complemented by other proven TSG features such as Anti-Slip NBR, 360° straps and Easy-Slide Covers.
