City of Mandurah to Host the Third International Action Sports Games in March 2014

On the 15 and 16 of March, Mandurah will see over 100 world-class Action Sports athletes take to the pristine waters under clear blue skies at the 2014 Action Sports Games. The world’s best water sports athletes will be competing at the first stop on the International Waterski and Wakeboard Federation (IWWF) 2014 World Cup Tour whilst on land spectators will see some of Australia’s best BMX riders, Freestyle Moto X riders, and skateboarders take action sports performances to another level. Over 100,000 people packed the foreshore for the Action Sports Games and Mandurah Crab Fest event in 2013 to experience one of Western Australia’s top sporting events and the only IWWF World Cup stop in Australia.
Des Burke-Kennedy, IWWF World Media Chairman stated “In hosting this 39th World Cup Stop and first of the new-year, Mandurah will set the standard for the entire 2014 season. All eyes will be on this one to see who will capture these first gold medals. With our live Webcast on IWWF.TV we are really looking forward to sharing these World Cup thrills with our worldwide global audience”
The IWWF hosts events throughout Europe, North Africa, the Middle East, China and South East Asia before arriving in Australia.
The Action Sports Games also coincide with the annual Channel Seven Mandurah Crab Fest making it one of the biggest events in Western Australia.
