As one of the most progressive dirt BMX contests ever held, Red Bull Elevation has pushed the sport like no other event. In 2005, Red Bull and
Jay Miron collaborated to create the most insane dirt jumping course ever seen at the base of Whistler Ski Resort in Whistler, British Columbia, Canada.
In 2006, the crew put together an even better course with multiple lines and even more jumps set on the downhill slope. The top 40 BMX riders in the world competed for $30,000 in prize money in front of 10,000 screaming fans. Past winner like
Ryan Nyquist battled against a crop of veterans and newcomers for the $10,000 first-place prize. In the end, experience paid off as Australian
Corey Bohan prevailed for first place, with fellow Australian
Luke Parslow taking second and
Nyquist landing in third.
