When I broke my leg I lost my job but that's ok as I have an amazing job now ............ I'm now the manager of Redditch Skatepark and the Redditch Wheels Project Coordinator. My responsibilities include everything from litter picking, ramp maintenance, first aid, raising the awareness and profile of the park both in the community and nationwide right through to organising the summers upcoming events. The annual Redditch Relax Jam will be on July 29th and include events such as; Pro and Rookie Street Comp, Pro and Rookie Spine/Mini ramp comp, Vert Jam and a Highest Hop contest.
Redditch has some new ramps for the summer they include a volcano with a flatbanked hip and a wallride, a new landing on the new hipped jumpbox, a quarter pipe on the driveway and a voltraino!
It's a volcano take of with a mellower landing so you can practice tricks over it before you step it up on the volcano or spine.
The entrance fees are £3 all day Saturday and Sunday opening at 12 til dusk or £2 for an evening session in the week from 4 till dusk.
