Five memorable days and nights of music drew to a close Saturday night in Austin with the final sets at the House of Vans at the Mohawk. Thousands of music fans joined Vans at the beloved Mohawk for an Off the Wall mix of musicians ranging from the world’s best emerging bands to well-known iconic talent that are not often seen under one roof. The Vans showcase hosted punk rock legends X, hardcore favorite Cerebral Ballzy, Primus founder and frontman’s newest project, Les Claypool’s Duo de Twang and independent acts The Black Angels, ††† (crosses), Gap Dream and TEEN.
The Vans Village also closed its doors after five days and nights of packed events including daily open mic sessions which provided a platform for more than 100 musicians to share their music and BMX demos by Vans BMX pro athletes

Smithe made their way through the Vans Village for one-of-a-kind live mural paintings on a custom shipping container so guests could see their talents up close. Finally, the Vans pop-up store was perhaps one of the most exciting additions to SXSW this year. The store brought the limited edition return of Vans’ iconic band collaborations with Circle Jerks, Motörhead, Bad Brains and Rise Against, which sold out each day of release. More importantly, guests at SXSW came out to support the victims and the families affected by the tragedy at SXSW by helping Vans raise $20,000 in donations to support the SXSW Cares Fund. All proceeds from Thursday’s sales at the Vans Village were directly donated to the SXSW Cares Fund, which will be distributed to the victims and their families.
You can still donate to the SXSW Cares Fund by visiting sxswcares.com. The funds will be disbursed to those most affected through a community-based process.
