BMX CGN is coming in hard but for the Dutch this might turn into something special this year: Hup Holland Hup.Thursday - RITUAL Premiere What started as a tiny BMX race with 50 people turned in the world’s biggest BMX festival with hundreds of BMXers travelling to Cologne year after year. This was reason enough for us to take a closer look at what happened in the last 30 years.
We’ve asked quite a few people to dig out their memories, collected tapes from all over the world and put together a 60 minutes long documentary about BMX in the Jugendpark, Cologne.
Friday at Gloria - The opening parties in Cologne‘s Gloria are legendary, and although the BMX Cologne Weekend will have just begun, we will still party as if there is no tomorrow. Maybe those 20-inch wheels will roll better with a light hangover....
There will be two phenomenal crews on the turntables Friday to bring things to life on the dance floor. We expect bouncing and head-banging to the loud basses and high-quality club sound. The guys from BTYCL and THE MIXFITS will have lots of rap, dubstep, drum&bass, trap und home-made mash-ups to offer.
Saturday at AbenteuerHallen Kalk On Saturday, the sporting part of BMX Cologne is already over for many participants, and they have their eyes on only one further goal: PARTY HARD! The AbenteuerHallen Kalk have proved themselves to be the perfect location for our huge party Saturday night. No question but that we will again put on a party there which will be the number one topic of conversation the next day. We are especially happy that our home-boys from POWPOW MOVEMENT are returning after a long absence and will once again give us one of their overpowering live shows. With DJ CEM from the famous BEATPACKERS Partys, it will be an explosive mixture.... We can promise you one thing: It will be GREAT!
