Banksgiving, a 4 stop grassroots BMX and Wake event series, hit Tom’s River New Jersey last Saturday with stop # 1, hosted by Garett Reynolds in his backyard. Around 150 kids from all corners of NJ, NY, and PA made the pilgrimage, including pros Brian Foster, Scotty Cranmer, and Van Homan. Banksgiving ran from 12-5pm, and it was nothing less then the best backyard session ever. The idea was simple. Create a unique place for riders to shred, offer a heap of free food and swag, and provide a free day of pure BMXellence.

Nike 6.0 hired
Nate Wessel to add to the existing backyard creations and really put the “bank” in Banksgiving. The result was a re-plyed miniramp, more ramps and hips, a down rail, and with the help of a bobcat dirt jumps materialized.
Garrett Reynolds
was out of control, absolutely killing the place with icepick-to-barspins on the vert wall/roof combo, 360-tuck-no-handers.
Scotty Cranmer dropped a few bombs as usual, with flairs of the ramp and ice pick to tail tap off the roof.
Brian Foster carried on the legacy, boosting the wallride.
MC Catfish was on the mic keeping everyone hyped and moving the crowd from feature to feature.
