Vault by Vans x Taka Hayashi Introduce the Derby Nomad LX

This spring, Vault by Vans and artist Taka Hayashi come together once again to present the 17^th season of Hayashi’s signature Vault by Vans line with the introduction of the Derby Nomad LX. As a revered veteran of Vans’ design team, Hayashi’s commitment to meticulous craftsmanship continues to push the boundaries of Vans footwear design, while maintaining Hayashi’s distinct style and persona through his creations. Available this spring, the Derby Nomad LX is offered in two premium pony hair and suede offerings. The pony hair leopard style debuts in Black Coffee and Tan color variations and is inspired by the late ‘70s punk and hip-hop scenes in New York. The premium suede Desert Mohave and French Vanilla offerings feature a simple, clean look on the sophisticated silhouette.

Metal hardware completes the form with two prominent callouts in American history. The metal hardware channels the unifying ‘70s punk and hip-hop theme, with homage to pins on leather and denim jackets, while the imprint harkens back to southwestern-inspired silversmith designs from the early 1900’s.
