way, had a nasty crash at full speed during qualifying but still grabbed the bronze medal in the finals. I'm not sure how many camera's they had at the track but they caught everything and played it back in slow-mo as well. The woman's final was an exciting race between Ann-Caroline Chausson and Shanaze Reade who both wanted the gold. It was a battle that ended in the last turn when Reade wanted to get by on the inside of ACC but crashed. All in all the BMX event at the Olympics looked good. Let's hope it gives BMX in general a push in the right direction.

-2009 model bikes have been popping up on the web. Hoffman Bikes released their line, the new FBM bikes look great, wethepeople has their 2009 catalog online, Kink has their new rides up and more brands are following. Pricing might be up by 25% for next year but that's because of the raise of the raw material they're made of. With bikes becoming better and better each year for a lower price, it is okay that the pricing for complete bikes do go up. 25% is a bit much though but you have been warned.

-The Dew Tour is going on right now in Portland, Oregon. Expect some updates from there over the weekend. Ourselves? We are in Pinneberg, Germany for a $ 50.000,- USD miniramp contest. Crazy? Maybe. FBM is doing another ghetto comp, coming up in October.

-OK, The whole Haro Pro team have been hooked up with Rockstar Energy drink including new recruit/re-recruit & X- Gaymes Bronze medalist Rob Darden.

-Mark Webb, who is currently nursing a bad shoulder has picked up a new bike sponsor. He will now be riding for UK based company UK Bike Co. with a signature frame coming soon. Their current frames weigh in at an incredible 3.4lbs! Mark is going to play a big part in the development of this up & coming company so watch this space....

-Isaac James Peter Hadley Lesser is riding for Mankind thru Zeal Distro over here in the UK, remember that name... all of it!

-Ben Wallace is currently recovering from injuries sustained in Cologne & is on the Seventies roadtrip, hopefully some news from that next week?

-The "Bruza" brothers are holding their annual "One Quid Budget Jam" at Blazingsmoke's War Memorial Skatepark on 6th September. The event is always a good time & is growing every year, it must be big because I got a text message saying "even Harry Fuckin Main & Josh Big Dick Walford are going to be there". Can't get anymore hollywood than that!

-I'm just about to leave to go to Heathrow to get my flight to Hamburg for this weekends T-Mobile Mini ramp event which means I get to see Osato, woop woop!!!

-FAT-Friday actually turned into FAT Saturday. It is raining in Hamburg. The indoor session today happened in Bremen. The Summer Session is still looking good though as sunshine is on the program for tomorrow. Let's hope it is not going to be a Bummer Session.
