2023 UCI BMX FREESTYLE WORLD CUP - DAY 1

The 2023 UCI BMX Freestyle World Cup starts this week with a round in Diriyah, Saudi Arabia. In a breathtaking place with great stakes for the riders, the show was impressive for the first day and the qualifications. To qualify for the semi-finals, riders from all around the world had to show their best tricks and skills during two runs of 1 minute. Judged on different criteria (difficulty, height, originality, flow, etc), riders give to the public some massive tricks such as a 720 double bar, double backflip, 360 condor transfer, 180 whip on the spine, cashroll, front flair, superman backflip, huge transfers, and so much more.

For the first time in the country, the BMX Freestyle competition is open to women. From the US, Australia, the UK, France, Japan, Switzerland, Germany, Chile, Argentina, and many more, the well known female riders like Hannah ROBERTS, Nikita DUCARROZ and Lara LESSMAN are join by some new prodigies of the discipline, the Chinese rider who won the last UCI BMX Freestyle World Cup round in Gold Coast in October 2022 : Jiaqi SUN and Huimin ZHOU.

The Juniors and Amateurs also have their dedicated competitions. And we are pleased to announce that two Saudian Amateur Girls will compete for the win. Muneera ALMOHASIN and Hoor SULTAN, respectively 20 and 18 years old, will ride their first international competition and we are going to follow their performance on Friday, 16th February, at 9.20am local time.
