WOODWARD CAMPS ANNOUNCE SUMMER 2024 SIGNATURE ATHLETE WEEKS

Woodward, the global leader in action sports experiences, is excited to announce its 2024 Signature Athlete partners for its Camps division, along with the weeks that each athlete will attend the organization’s residential Summer Camps in Pennsylvania and California.
“Youth around the country eagerly await this news each year, with hopes of having the opportunity to advance their skills alongside some of the most famous names in action sports. We are so excited to get this news out early this year, enabling families to plan ahead and help make their campers’ dreams come true this Summer, capitalizing on the January discount of $200 off camp as well,” said Phoebe Mills, the Vice President of Camps and Programming for Woodward.

For the 2024 year, some of the most beloved names in action sports have chosen to partner with Woodward in their efforts to help the next generation of action sports kids progress, and also evolve the future of the sports altogether. These athletes, world-renowned in their sports for their comptition wins, brand partnerships, video parts, and social media followings, are some of the most recognized in the action sports world today.

For one week each Summer, they will have the opportunity to mentor campers at Woodward West and Woodward PA, leading trick clinics, judging competions, sessioning with athletes, and signing autographs. This year’s Woodward Camps Signature Athletes include:

Ryan Nyquist - Ryan Nyquis is an American professional BMX rider whose name has become synonymous with the sport of BMX. Riding since the age of just 3 years old, his multi-dimensional career has included professional riding in all three disciplines of BMX including dirt, street and vert. He has earned 16 X-Games medals, 39 X-Games competition starts, won the Vans Triple Crown and King of Dirt contests, and made 60 Dew Tour finals appearances (the most all-time). Currently, Ryan is also the Head Coach of the USA Cycling BMX Freestyle National Team, a role which will have him coaching U.S. athletes in pursuit of Olympic medals in Paris this Summer. Ryan coached one athlete to the Silver Medal in the 2020(21) Tokyo Olympic Games as well.

Undoubtedly Ryan is considered one of the greatest and diversely skilled BMX riders ever. In addition to his role as a Signature Athlete partner with Woodward, Ryan also serves as the BMX Program Advisor.

Other Woodward Camps signature athletes are: skateboard star Ryan Sheckler, Lizzie Armanto (American-Finnish professional skateboarder), Will Cashion (Scooter) and Dominic Di Tommaso (professional freerunner).
