The Bicross Club from Portimão at 09,10,11 of September will organize the "BMX Summer Comp. 05" In the Parque da Juventude From Portimão. The Parque da Juventude, was already a place were have been organized other events like: "Taças de Portugal de BMX Race", "The Big Contest 96", "Race Masters 97", "The Big Contest 97", "BMX FreeStyle Worlds 98", "Sobre Rodas Portimão In-Line Open '98", "The Big Contest '99", "Sobre Rodas In-Line Open '99", " The Big Contest 2000",""Bmx Power Week 2001", "BMX Jam 2002", "BMX Summer Comp.04", we whish to organise this year a better event with better conditions for the riders and for the public.
The Bmxsummercomp is a new format of event, last year it was the first edition whit 75 inscriptions, like Nathan Penonzek, Rúben Alcântara, Sérgio Layos, etc., and 3000 visitors from all over Portugal. The Park is very well situated it's just 2Km from beach and night disco bars, there are also several hotels around the park and the temperature here last year was around 35 degrees.
The "BMX Summer Comp. 05":
-Will have tree categories, Flatland, Street and Dirt;
-All categories will be divide in amateur an professional;
-For the pro there will be price money for the first 5 riders, the first 5 amateurs will receive gifts;
-The street area is around 2400 square meters whit new ramps;
-The flat area is around 1200 square meters whit a wood flat;
-The Dirt will have a drop whit 2,5 meters and 4 dirts;
-There will be a concert in the park followed by a late night party;
-There will be a area for shops and food suppliers;
-There will be a Graffiti contest,
-There will be a Brake dance Demo.
