Getting your ride stolen sucks big time. It happened to a couple of people at this year's World's in Czech Republic. Here's a story from Attila, one of the victims.
I am Attila Sarlosi from Hungary. I have been on the BMX Worlds in Praha and happened with me some direful things. At Saturday night somebody broke into our car in the city and stole my bike and my backpack. At Sunday I went to the square where the flatlanders practise and I was searching a rider from Praha, that maybe he can help me. I found a rider and I told all things about my bike and asked that if he hears something about my bike or sees somebody trying to sell my bike on the square, to call me. I left my phone number with him.
We were on our way home and he was calling me and informed me that he knows where my bike is and the robber wants 8.000.- Cz Sk. I said that I can't turn back, and I said that I will call him back. When I called he said that he was trying to addle back my bike for free, and he will call back the next day.
He called me and he gave an other phonenumber of an other rider who would like to give back my bike. I called him and found out that it's not my bike but Jessie Puente's bike. I couldn't believe that Jessie's bike was stolen also.
I give now phone numbers for you and please if you can pick up the contact with Jessie or somebody that his bike is in Praha and Martin can help for him.
Martin's number: +420 732641848 he was the boy who I found on the square, he knows where Jessie's bike is.
About my bike: It's a yellow Quamen Clad4 frame with Dragon and Harlee-Shop stickers, black KGB bar, black KHE Alloy fork, blue Cam-A-Cura stem, Profile chrome cranks, Peregrine rims, Nankai freecoaster, Quamen 25T chainwheel (black), HB seat, without brake.
Please, please if you will know something from my bike, send info........
I hope that my bike will be back....
Thanks to All,
Attila Sarlosi
