Some news contributed by DJ over in the UK:
-There's going to be a Southsea Skatepark reunion on 28th August. Of course, the legendary park is still open but this is created as a chance for past & present users (skate & bmx) to get together, hang out & enjoy the place. Get down there if you can. Check out southseaskatepark.com for more details
-I won't be able to make the Southsea event as I'll be in Pinnenburg, Germany for the T-Mobile Extreme Playgrounds Summer session on the mini spine. Last years event was pretty awesome with Harry Main taking the win over the old war horse Dave O-Sato! Sucks that Harry won't be able to make the event this year due to that horrible leg break but speaking to him yesterday he is in pretty high spirits & after a bit of laser surgery & some top quality physio he'll be back in no time. Hopefully Mark Webb will make the trip with me to throw down on the ramp? All this will be live as always on freecaster....
-Speaking of Mark Webb he's on his way to LA right now to get some practice in on the crazy bonkers X-Games 15 Superpark course which, constructed by genius Nate Wessell & crew looks amazing & features skatelite & concrete this year. Mark will be joined by Remo for the trip & after the X circus is over they are taking the journey up to Portland, Oregon where Mark is looking to improve on his 6th place in the next Dew Tour stop. Luckily Relentless have hired them a car meaning Remo won't have to overload his VW again like the journey to Cologne!
-Aussie Todd Meyn returned to Greenville from the UK early this week to find his visa has been extended meaning he can stay in the USA until late January 2010. Todd only has one thing on his mind now though... Euro contest/parties!! Good lad.
-Did you see Todd's bike check here in the week? Also going to have a fat favorites list with him in the next week. I'm trying to help Bart as best as possible with these so for all the Old Schoolers in you the list is currently with Dave Nourie, Brian Blyther, Mike Dominguez, Wilkerson & Bob Haro. Hope to hear back from them soon.
-Rushden Jam is this weekend in the UK with all sorts of shit throwing down including a big ass after party... If you want some carnage make sure you track it down (or track Elcock down?) & go get some!
-If you aren't in the UK but in the USA that Big Air Triples event is going down on 29-31 around the Cali area, sounds interesting.
Now I'm just clutching at straws... til next week...
