Vans have had my back since the mid-90’s and I’m honoured to launch this limited edition signature shoe. There are only 100 pairs available, so be quick! This shoe design was inspired by my art of this mouth painting. It was my first real attempt at creating something from a blank canvas. I didn’t really know how to start so I chose a fine tipped paint brush. I bit down on it with my teeth and slowly went to work. This seemed like it took forever, and it did! Learning how to control my breathing and having patience. Little by little at the pace of a snail, it slowly started to come together. After countless hours over a couple of months, I finally finished this beast of a tiger that I was actually proud of.
I worked back and forth with the designers at Vans to come up with the finished design.
My brother from the UK took the world of BMX by storm. Stephen Murray WAS the man to beat and had some of the best style. Mixed with the biggest tricks in the business he won several of the biggest contests in history.

His do or die, go big approach is what set him apart from other athletes and made him a global BMX hero.
