Man, it has never been easier to make a cover. You're probably one of the 20 riders who did score a photo on the front of issue 20 of Australia's finest BMX mag. The mag simply sums up the Australian BMX freestyle scene and this issue has the following items:
008 20 Down: Blah, blah, blah
012 News and assorted happenings. Holy crap, BMX is getting busy. And there's a GT to win
028 State of the Union. East to the West to the North to the South and New Zealand
030 Reformist. Who siad we had minimal flatl coverage?
034 It's all about the 20. A truck load of 20 things.......
050 BMX Games 06. A few hundred riders rock park, flat, vert, spine and dirt.
We don't have the intention to put every video trailer online here at FATBMX but when Josh Suhre made us aware of the project he's working on in Ohio, we checked if we could run it on the site. The video is scheduled to be out this summer so that gives the Ohio crew some more time to do some outdoor riding. The footage they've collected so far is amazing.

The sun made it seem like August as I drove through early afternoon traffic. Marley’s ears caught the wind as he poked his fury head out the window of my little red pick up. “April showers? Yeah right, its 70 degrees and there isn’t a cloud in the sky” I thought as I sped towards the skatepark. “Marley, who do you think is going to win the BMX comp at Thrill-Zone?” “Woof” he replied…. “Me too”
The last Friday in April couldn’t arrive quickly enough for me. I knew this weekend was going to be amazing. Funky Monkey Radio in Tacoma had been hyping up the contest at Thrill-Zone for weeks. A 3 day BMX and Skateboard event with thousands of dollars in cash and prizes is a great recipe for fun. Redline Bicycles, Diamondback Bikes, Props Video Magazine, Animal, Pryme safety gear, Grand Prix Raceway, Applebee’s, Scion, The Volcano News, Monster energy drink, Kronik energy drink, Mountain Dew’s MDX energy drink and Full Throttle energy drink all donated prizes so generously that all in attendance were wired and no one left empty handed.
This is an invitation to the opening of our new spot called: "Venushügel". If you fancy riding dirt in Cologne, we will hope to see you at our spot this Saturday at 14:00hr. We're meeting at the Lidl/Aldi parking place at the Merheim Olpenerstrasse at 2pm and will then cruise over together to Venus. Don't forget to bring your bike. Petrus will give us sunshine.
If you want to check it out, call Atze Etzold for directions.
Alexis Bracke and Gilles van de Sompel are organizing a small flatland jam called 'Style Wars' on Saturday 13th of May in Ghent, Belgium (an hour away from Brussels, 3 hours away from Paris). The venue is a big indoor sports hall with an almost perfect floor (rolls smooth, grips well). They will take care of cheap food and drinks on location so you can ride all day without having to worry about anything! Music will also be present. There will be an afterparty in one of Ghent's most famous night clubs called 'Tijuana'. It's a small but very cool club with good music & vibes.
Girls in short skirts are often used to cheer up a crowd. It also happened at the SX in San Diego where out of nowhere these girls started parading through the stands. The shots could have been a lot tastier with a bit of guts but it all happened so quick that they were gone before the camera knew how to focus.
Six BMX’ers, eighteen days and numerous spots throughout the UK – it could only be the return of the ‘roundabout tour’! From 12th to 28th May, Hastings boys Bas Keep and Caleb Kilby will be joined by Chester’s finest – Ali Whitton and Owain Clegg, along with Chris Souter and Robin Fenlon for a two week tour of the country. Starting in Hastings on 12th May, the collective, otherwise known as ‘roundabout’, will be hitting up local skateparks, trails and spots around the UK from Newcastle to Bristol, including the Red Bull warehouse in Bristol on 17/18th May.
Found this one on the internet. Maybe you don't want to see it, maybe you do. If you don't click on Read More, you won't miss much. But if you don't click to see the next page, you don't know what you just missed. Curious? It's a girl on a bike, that's all we can say.
