(r)evolution forward. In addition, six wild cards will be given out short-term before the event.

The BMX supercross revolution does not only continue, it’s in full effect: the international BMX racing scene looks forward to this unparalleled race at Berlin’s Mellowpark, and enthusiasm spreads among the racers. After Tom Ritzenthaler revealed first details of his track design, more and more stars want to participate in Red Bull R.Evolution 2013. Until today, more than 30 international top riders are confirmed, including top-notch athletes like Olympic participant Connor Fields (USA), who currently sits in 2nd place of the UCI world ranking, or reigning champion Twan van Gendt (NED). Mike Day (USA), who got 3rd in the first edition of Red Bull R.Evolution in 2012, will for sure aim to improve his ranking. Local boys Maik Baier (GER) and Luis Brethauer (GER) were not happy with their performances at the 2012 race and will certainly try to do better this time.
This strong field guarantees tough battles already in the seeding runs, while the finals promise pure excitement. But Red Bull R.Evolution attracts not only pedigreed racers: today, Kris Fox (USA) is widely known as a freestyle rider, but he has a past as a racer and can’t resist competing at the innovative Mellowpark supercross track on August 17. Crowd favourite Desmond Tessemaker (NED) who inspired the spectators with backflips over the largest kicker last year will also be back to take part in the 2013 edition of Red Bull R.Evolution.
