55DSL Rebel of the Day Award at Red Bull R.Evolution

The BMX revolution is in full effect! In 2013, track and competition format of Red Bull R.Evolution will be even more spectacular and innovative than at last year’s premiere. And there’s another first, concerning the fans particularly. They will have the opportunity to involve themselves actively in the BMX event of the year on August 17. No matter if they follow the action live at Berlin’s Mellowpark or at the live webcast, they can crown the 55DSL Rebel of the Day by voting the most rebellious rider of the day. 10 of the participants can

additionally win a 55DSL t-shirt.

“55DSL and I love action sports and with this award we wanna honor people who make risk their own passion!", said Andrea Rosso, founder of streetwear label 55DSL and son of Diesel boss Renzo Rosso.

First, a jury of 5 BMX experts will choose the 5 nominees for the award. Then, the spectators will decide – no matter if they follow the action live at Mellowpark or on the live webcast. In the time between the semi finals and the finals of Red Bull R.Evolution, the spectators will vote for their 55DSL Rebel of the Day on redbull.de/revolution.

The award rewards the rider who has really deserved the title, who fought for it, who stood for it, who was born for it. The rider who showed the best tricks, delivered the best action, amazed the fans, turned Mellowpark into a cauldron, and transferred the energy of the race track to the crowd. That’s the man who is worthy of winning the 55DSL Rebel of the Day title. By voting, the spectators will not only have the chance to participate but also to win one of 10 55DSL t-shirts.

After the finals, not only the winner of Red Bull R.Evolution 2013 is certain, but also the 55DSL Rebel of the Day!

With its innovative track and sensational field, Red Bull R.Evolution 2013 continues to push the BMX revolution. Track designer Tom Ritzenthaler has already done a great job and built a supercross track full of new elements. On this spectacular track, BMX stars like reigning champion Twan van Gendt (NED), Connor Fields (USA), Mike Day (USA), Kris Fox (USA), Desmond Tessemaker (NED), as well as local hero Luis Brethauer (GER) will battle it out in fierce supercross duels.
