With the start of the new year, are you always looking to become a faster racer?
Ross Cullen: I am always trying to find ways to improve and get faster for sure!
Have you picked your races for 2022 yet?
Ross Cullen: I should be racing all the UCI World Cup rounds, World and European Champs and most of the UEC rounds with some UK Nationals in the mix too.
What did you change on your bike for 2022?
Ross Cullen: Everything’s changed except my tires, cranks and front chain ring! I'm on a completely new set up but - it feels great!
Do you generally test things in the off season like different tires, different sized frames, wider bars, longer stems, different gears?
Ross Cullen: I don’t like to change things unless I think it's not working for me! I have tried a few set ups in the past few years and messed around a little but I now feel super comfortable on my current set up so I haven’t changed much recently!
What racing gear will you be running in 2022?
Ross Cullen: 47/17
What's the helmet of your choice for the new season?
Ross Cullen: 6D Helmet - my first season with one, really excited to try one out.
Do you intend to eat better in 2022?
Ross Cullen: I always eat pretty good so just continue doing so!
Has your training schedule changed from last year?
Ross Cullen: It's changed a little bit but not massively! Just tailored a little after what we found worked well last year.
Who is helping you with your training schedule?
Ross Cullen: Marcus Bloomfield is my coach!
Do you get help with mental coaching?
Ross Cullen: Yeah we get support through British Cycling and through someone I personally work with.
What's your local BMX track that you ride the most?
Ross Cullen: Preston Pirates BMX Club is where I started and is closest to my family home but now I live in Manchester and train at Manchester Indoor!
Do you ride pump tracks and trails to improve your bike handling skills?
Ross Cullen: I never get much opportunity to ride pump tracks but they are good fun! I'd love to do more in the future.

Ross Cullen: Lack Race Experience in elite - looking forward to gaining more!
What are your goals for 2022?
Ross Cullen: Have a successful season of racing and enjoy it.
