over there. Sometimes you HAVE TO BUILD YOUR OWN FUN…
How often have you changed it?
Alessandro Barbero: That is the only problem that we have because most of the skeleton of ramps are made of steel. So we only changed the Central Part in 2018. I wish I can change it all.
How is it holding up in the Northern Italian weather conditions?
Alessandro Barbero: Man we had a very strong winters that were hard to face. That's why I was migrating to Woodward PA every winter. A lot of snow like 40 cm sometimes and freezing cold. So it caused a lot of damage sometimes but that's where I live so I have to handle it.
How long did it take to build the ramps?
Alessandro Barbero: Almost 3 years because we was waiting for budget and all the bureaucratic things.
How does it feel that in these times you have a spot to ride?
Alessandro Barbero: I mean I rode often during the lock down but we were not allowed because in case of injury the Hospital was closed because it was packed of people on intensive care.
How long would it take for you to get to the ramps from your home?
Alessandro Barbero: Like 5 minutes by car, very close, it is a nice place.
What are the Covid-19 restrictions where you live at the moment?
Alessandro Barbero: We are in lock down so I took this time to take care of a lot of stuff like I want to do my new website, I build my new show ramps and I finally fixed a part of my house. Also I took care about my BMX collection, look at the picture. I'm lucky to live in 6000 people town so it was bad but I had my space.
What's there to ride?
Alessandro Barbero: I got a step-up that most of the Pros love, a big box, good spine and drive-way that you can transfer a lot into. Wall ride and 2 vert walls, a big mini ramp spine like the old Braun and foam and resi.
Who built the ramps?
Alessandro Barbero: Me and most of the people from Priero like Pilli, Mazza and many more, the Kobra BMX Team, my Dad, Ignoramps from Italy, also Axel Jurgens showed up once to fix some stuff, Big promotion.
Has Team Italy used the park for a training session?
Alessandro Barbero: Mmm not really, I wish. I don't think the new Italian coach likes the park. Sometimes the Kobra BMX Team shows up. Everybody is welcome just let me know in advance :)
When's your next session going to be?
Alessandro Barbero: I hope tomorrow man, I think my mom comes to watch me hahah.
Thanks to?
Alessandro Barbero: Fondazione CRC, Kobra BMX, Red Bull, FIAT, Eastpak, VANS, ZANUT, TopFour, PROFILE Racing, all the people from Priero. Also all the lil shops and business around the area the helped out with a little amount every year.
