Today Red Bull & Kye Forte announced the much anticipated rider list for ‘Red Bull Empire of Dirt’. This year the competition promises to be hotter than ever with the world’s best riders battling it out to be the champion at the s. Riders will be flying in from all over the globe – including the US, France, Spain and South Africa - to compete in the world’s first and only BMX dirt slopestyle event. Confirmed riders include Gary Young, Brian Foster, Chris Doyle, Corey Bohan and the UK’s very own Forte brothers – Kye and Leo. Like every year on Contest-Friday, 4th of July, a huge Grand Opening Party will take place at the Purple Club in Cologne, starting at 10:00 pm. A mix of Hip Hop, Funk & Reggae will guarantee a good vibe. The relaunch of the legendary album “Watch out for the third Rail” of the oldschool Hip Hop Crew LSD is a good reason for them to come and party with you. The local registration for the riders at the Jugendpark Cologne begins on Thursday July 3rd at 2 pm until 8 pm, and on Friday July 4th from 9 am until 12:00 am! Much better is it to register in advance on the website, as the registration occurs quicker and easier. Because of the registration there will be a detachment between the cash point for already registered riders and for participants, who have not already been registered.
By experience the registration takes much longer for the riders, who have not been registered in advance, as they have to fill out a registration form, and maybe they have to take a picture of them on location, as well. So please send us a portrait picture of you via Email, then we can put it on our website! So the fans and the other riders can prepare themselves emotionally for you!

Here are some preliminary designs of  one of the new BMX disciplines at the 2008 X-Games called "SuperPark". This is not final. All dimensions and design may change but for now here is an overview: Ballpark Dimensions; Capsule - 15-16' tall, Hip to the left of Capsule + that whole wall - 7', Spine - 6', Wall below spine 2/ speed bump roller - 6', Laid back wall above spine - 5' tall at same angle as quarter's below, Volcano - 5', escalators to 6' (to spine), Bigger Bowl - 10', Smaller Bowl - 7.5 or 8'.

Some spots have been around for ages and have more meaning to people than just a place to ride. Some of them learned how to ride at the spot and have great memories of sessions at the spot. Plans are to destroy 2 legendary spots in Bochum, the concrete pool and the vert ramp. Of course this should not happen. That's why a jam has been organized to show the local council that indeed these spots are important and should not be destroyed. 

From the 4th to the 6th of July the Suzuki BMX Masters 2008 will be taking place at the Jugendpark in Cologne. Also for the 4th issue of Europe’s probably most popular BMX Event, Camp-Ramps will be concerned with the planning and the construction of the street parcour again.
