Q: Is this your first interview?
A: No this is not my first interview. I have done some interviews for some bmx mags and sports mags

Q: You will be back in the States this weekend. What will you be doing there?
A: Yep back in the States finally this year. I will be going to Woodward East for the first 2 weeks, then I will be doing the open qualifying round for the Dew Tour and during that time I will be staying with mates to ride all the local stops and haven a good time
Q: What was it like to ride that insane Red Bull dirt pipe?
A: The Red Bull Dirt Pipe was insane! Turned up there and was like, I knew it was gunna be big but not this big, probably the scariest 

A dirtcomp on a normal Wednesday is kinda weird but not for the Dirtycampus guys in Cologne and certainly not for the other beerdrinking and bratwurst eating people from Keulifornia. Build by Benny Paulsen the 4 sets of jumps in a left hand corner were not easy for most of the BMX'ers, some had a real hard time like Tobias Wicke, Pim van den Bos, Magga and company so only 8 riders were riding the "finals". The Mountainbikers with Timo Pritzel and Benny Korthaus as semi-bmx'ers made it look easier than it was.

Last 3 places were taken bij the "DUTCH" but don't blame it to the judges, Pim couldn't make it through the whole set and only did some frontflip attempts on the third set and Colin Stolz first real contest was full of crashes, Daniel Wedemeijer was doing good but too many mistakes didn't give him enough points to make it to top 5.

With the Olympic Games in Beijing only two months away, the excitement for the debut of BMX Race is mounting daily. Among a strong group of contenders from both the men’s and women’s sides, two riders have emerged as the ones to watch as the US Team chases its dreams of Olympic Gold. For the men, the rider to watch is Mike Day. With a string of successes over the last three years including the 2005 NBL #1 Pro, 2005 UCI Worlds 2nd Place, 2006 UCI Worlds 3rd Place, and the 2007 UCI Supercross 1st Place, Mike has been on a tear leading up to Olympic qualification. The fastest rider on Olympic style tracks, Mike has won every time trial on the UCI Supercross circuit for the last year and a half. Crediting his monster speed to his longer than average legs, Mike also clocked the fastest time of any athlete on the Beijing Supercross track during last year's test races. To say he has an advantage there would be an understatement.

The American Bicycle Association hosted the Spring Nationals this past weekend, May, 23-25 in Albuquerque, NM. The Veloport/Duke City BMX Facility is the only the second BMX only facility built in the world and what a great place it is. The racing at the Spring National event was exciting to say the least! The Duke City BMX crew really stepped it up and had the facility in tip top shape and ready to race! This was the fifth PRO Series event of the season and the PRO Riders were excited to head to the high altitude of New Mexico to see who had the legs on the tour.

ESPN X Games is returning for a fifth year in Los Angeles and welcomes a new event - BMX Freestyle Street - as well as the return of Men's and Women's Surfing. X Games 14 will take place July 31 - August 3 at The Home Depot Center and STAPLES Center in Los Angeles. Fourteen hours of live X Games programming on ESPN, ESPN2 and ABC - all showcased in high definition - will be aired July 31 - August 3, as well as on ESPN International, EXPN.com, ESPN Classic, ESPN360.com, SportsCenter and ESPN2's X Center.

The other day I found a DHL slip in the mail. It said they tried to deliver a package from Rebelyell in Australia. I was bummed because it knew it was an issue of Rebelyell that I had not sen yet. To make things worse, there was a weekend in between so I had to wait till Monday before it would show up. Rebelyell magazines are that good! I get excited when I have it in my hands. It's more of a piece of art than a random BMX magazine. Just look at the cover. Not your average bright turndown photo that will sell the mag at the newsstands, is it? If you're your own publisher and have other priorities than making a lot of money by selling a lot of magazines, you can do these kind of things. But you need to have the talent too.
