BMX Riders Organization (BRO) is a group of BMX riders from all over the country united to help riders and communities establish safe and sanctioned facilities for BMX riding. The BMX Riders Organization is a not-for-profit group that advocates for the inclusion of BMX in skate parks, helps communities better understand BMX access, and provide information for BMX activists on getting parks built in their communities. BRO is an all-volunteer organization led by national leaders in BMX advocacy. BMX freestyle as a sport has been growing exponentially every year, and with cities building skate park facilities all over the world, it is important to have an advocacy group that is represented by BMXers for BMXers. The new site will have information for riders on how to get parks built, work with Parks and Recreation departments, city councils, and community leaders to better understand the needs of their BMX-riding constituents. BRO’s goal is to work with communities by educating those who are unaware of the facilities needed to keep BMX riders safe and out of trouble.

BMX is not short of events. Three more organisers sent in their info. Starting off with the Verre Oosten jam in Deventer. It's not only a jam, but also the day of the premiere of the Dutch BMX documentary called "op die fiets". Can't wait to see that one. It's pretty amazing how the world works these days. Mario Kalmre walks outside the office that they set up in the Saku Suurhal, takes some pictures with his phone and mails them to us in The Netherlands so we can let everyone know about the progress of the building of the Simpel Session course. With the exception of three riders, every BMXer on the SNAFU pro and flow team must endure frigid temperatures and miserable riding conditions in the winter months.

To help the guys survive, last week Jeremiah Smith, Jeremie Infelise, Matt Bischoff and Kevin Spanier joined SoCal-based SNAFU teammates Mike Babbel, Pat Kroenke and Jourdan Barba for six days of schralping in the Golden State.

Stops on their adventure included San Diego, Escondido, Temecula, Hollywood, Norco, Palm Springs, Desert Hot Springs and Burbank.

The base camp for their visit was Sherry Shu's SoCal home, where the guys enjoyed creature comforts like the Jacuzzi and McGoo's home cooking.

This is an online petition in support of the continued Bmx Bicycle enthusiast use of Los Angeles Park & Rec land in Griffith Park, located in Los Angeles, Ca. The location in question is an otherwise un-usable plot of land, located between Forest Lawn Drive, and the Los Angeles river. The location is near to the Forest Lawn Cemetery in Griffith Park. The land has been in use harmoniously, respectfully, and safely, by Bmx bicycle enthusiasts for a number of years.

The recent floods of the east coast have totally shocked the nation. One cannot imagine what the victims have had to go through. As a community bmxers have always wanted to help out fellow bmxers at a time of need, well now it’s time to flow that mate ship further than just bmxers and it’s now time to help out those victims of the east coast floods.
Here's an update from the recent request that was send out last week for support for a national flood relief bmx jam.

Beside having a lot work on our hands holding the Simpel Session contests, we have been keeping ourselves busy with a dream-size project that, we truly believe, will be greeted with both hands by not only the local action sports scenes around the Baltic States, but around this side of Europe as well. We are developing a new BMX-MTB-SKATE center in Tallinn, one that consists of a big 2050 m2 indoor skatepark, MTB and BMX indoor tracks and different training facilities, as well as a full-size UCI compatible outdoor BMX track and the first outdoor concrete bowl (400 m2) in the country.

We had two things on the schedule for Saturday. The BMX Hall Of Fame, and the UCI BMX SX in Chula Vista. It was easy to do both in one day as they were both located at the Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista. We headed south from our hotel in San Diego and half an hour later we took the OTC exit.
