Lots of BMX-ers showed up to watch round 2 of the THQ AMA Supercross in Anaheim. Among the 40.000 people were Robert de Wilde, Randy Stumphauser, Big E, Robbie and Ane Morales and Danny Hubbard to name a few. With Bubba Stewart and Travis Pastrana out with injuries it left the battle for first in the 250cc class to Ricky Carmichael, Kevin WIndham and Chad Reed. RC got the holeshot with Reed in hot pursuit. Windham was coming from 18th place but rode strong and finished 3rd when the checkered flag was waved. Reed bobbled in the rhythm section and crashed and this is where RC took off. Check here for the other results.

Lots of stuff is happening in BMX media land at the moment. Sit tight and keep reading: A new American BMX magazine will be coming out mid-April. Kevin McAvoy is the editor and a guy named Justin is the photographer of the new mag. The name will be: Twenty. Keith Mulligan has been shooting lots of quad stuff for a new Transworld publication. He's been shooting with Fuzzy Hall dressed in camo doing donuts in the snow. Kind of. Oh yeah, the new issue of BMX Plus! came out. It's got the ABA Grands in it, a Mirra Flair bike test, Terry Adams interview, an X-up how-to, Fueler test, a Supercross test, Tech tips and loads of cute girls showing off the latest threads. Block jam report? Check, Fish Hoskins interview, confirmed, and check it out ladies and gentlemen, a Thomas Stellwag interview in BMX Plus! Nice. Enough moving pics to put on your wall and a review on Greg Romero's Revtec bike. Add some product reviews and you've wrapped up the March issue.

While wandering around at the pits of the Supercross in Anaheim I stumbled across a set up that I had not seen in a while. The GT/Schwinn team had set up camp to do bicycle stunt shows with the 9 feet tall transportable quarterpipe and a box jump. I have done plenty of these shows in the past with GT but I have to admit that I don't miss them one bit. It's a good thing to show BMX to a new audience but to me it feels like the sport has moved on.

I'd been to quite a few tracks in the LA area but had never been to the Bellflower facility. It not only had a BMX track but also trails. When I looked around the corner I saw a pile of wood that happened to be all ramps. Turns out that the skatepark had to move for a bigger paintball field right next door. The Bellflower sports facility looked pretty professional. It was clean, gated off, had bleachers and a nice parking lot. A safe place to drop of the kid for an afternoon of BMX riding.

Everything is bigger in America, and also the wheels of cars. While walking through a parking lot at the Anaheim stadium I decided to take some shots of some dope rides. The travel getting there is always a drag. Caught a cab at 06:30am to the train station of Helmond, spent 2 hours in the train and checked in the bags at the United counter around 09:00am. I changed my pre-assigned seat to a window seat so I could put my hoodie on, lean to the wall and try to get some well needed sleep. This didn't really work out. Seat 33J was occupied by a Big Mamma. Here love handles already covered the arm rest and I was in trouble. I saw some empty seats in the back and was hoping they would be free after boarding was completed and luckily they were.
