Rob Wise has been added to the Mirraco team. This is what team manager Gator had to say about it when he found the words: “I sat here and tried to think of a million different ways I could introduce Rob Wise to the team, so I decided on the first. I was on a road trip with Rob and got to see firsthand how talented this guy is on his bike."

Kris Bennett and his Square One crew are opening up a retail store next week (March 10th). Next to Square One product you can also find BMX parts from a.o. Volume, Duo and shoes from Lotek . For the first time in 18 years, freestyle BMX legend TIM “FUZZY” HALL is preparing to ride a different brand of bike.And loving it. “I received my new sublimated Redline Device a week ago and have been so excited to ride it,” says Fuzzy. “It’s a feeling I haven't had since I was 9-years-old. I’ll admit I was a little worried about getting used to a new bike after being on the same one for so long, but as soon as I hopped on the Redline, I knew it was dialed.”

Metro BMX Jam Incorporated is pleased to announce the Singapore Metro BMX Jam on April 7th and 8th 2007. The contest will be held in downtown Singapore at the Somerset skatepark. All existing Somerset ramps will be removed and replaced for the week-end with the Metro BMX Jam course. The Singapore event will make its way to TV through the RushHD Network (rushhd.com) and MegaMedia of Singapore (megamedia.com.sg) with three hours of exclusive coverage. For the first time Metro BMX Jam brings an unprecedented number of world class pros to Singapore. This contest will be the first of its kind in Asia. Expect to see some unbelievable action as riders from around the world compete for a $20,000USD purse.

BAWLS Guarana, the Official Energy Drink of the NBL, today announced a sponsorship deal with NBL Elite riders Matt Pohlkamp and Rachel “Thunder” Smith and NBL Expert rider Tony Lehman for the remainder of the 2007 NBL season.

Matt, Tony and Rachel will rely on the refreshing, caffeinated taste of BAWLS Guarana as they race their way to an NBL championship! 

Extreme sports lovers will have an mandatory appointment this mid April with the first round of the BMX Supercross World Cup, sanctioned by the UCI. The Juan Carlos I Auditory will hold this espectacular competition, in which all the best riders of the world will take part. An incredible show of ligths, and music will complete this espectacular event. The best urban music, hip hop, Freestyle exhibitions, Bike Trial and Half Pipe will amuse everybody between rounds. The competition will take place in a dirt track especially designed for this event. 

After 12 successful years as an X Games event, BMX Dirt will not be in this year's lineup. BMX Big Air, which was featured as a pay-per-view event at X Games 12 (2006), will now be part of the live network coverage. Other BMX disciplines are Vert and Park.

It's a shame Dirt has been dropped but it looks like everything needs to be bigger and better for the TV audience. It gives the dirt jumpers out there one less contest to shoot for to make a living out of riding a bike.
