Earlier this year it was typically crappy weather in Scotland so DIG's Fred Murray joined Alex Donnachie, Kriss Kyle, Si Gibb and Jack Campbell for a quick holiday in the British favourite - the Costa Del Sol. Sun burn, too much bevy, spicy lemon, and a lil' bike riding was on the cards, and safe to say all of that got handled professionally.

Monster Energy congratulates Alex Donnachie on his first X Games gold medal at X Games Sydney. For the first time in X Games history, the competition kicked off at Spotless Stadium bringing X Games fans to Sydney, Australia. Kicking off the first competition of X Games Sydney with a bang, Scottish rider Donnachie stunned fans by winning the gold in BMX Street upsetting the perennial gold medal favorite Garrett Reynolds. With a winning score of 84.33, the medal also put him in the history books as Scotland’s first X Games medalist.

On the 26th of August, the spectacular city of Riga, capital of Latvia, hosted the summertime BMX edition of the Simple Session series – the Simple Summer Session. The event was dedicated to the Estonian Presidency of the Council of the European Union and to the 100th birthday of the Republic of Estonia. An exciting and sunny day of competitions culminated with Kostya Andreev (RUS) and Alex Donnachie (GBR) stealing the show in the park and street finals respectively. The contest vas held on a massive and inspiring outdoor skatepark, built on the Freedom Monument Bridge in the heart of the city.
