The Faze-7 rider from the UK was seen doing Nourie handstands on the vert ramp's platform to get the crowd going. Later on he threw down some high 540-s and wrapped the show up with a flair. His Otto fashion jacket was bitchin'. - Alistair Whitton is off the Little Devil team and off SPY and signed with Oakley for glasses and clothing. - Riders in the UK who are looking for a Premium Products Frame will have the chance buy one of the 50 golden frames soon. Kevin Heeffer and his buddies have started diging their own trails in Goirle, The Netherlands. The trails are all hand built and feature plenty of doubles, a table top and a big berm. Trails are never finished and the Hellentrails crew can use some help from riders with strong arms and skills to build some hills. If you want to learn more about the new spot you're in luck.

Alex Jumelin organizes a contest once a year, formerly known as Ninja Jam, now as Ninja Spin and also this year with Braun as main sponsor. Held in Acheres, close to Paris, in a gym around the corner from the local train station. As soon as you enter the hall, you notice that things here don't look like your average flatland contest: designer seats in the pro lounge and big balloons hanging from the ceiling, in very distinctive Stereo Panda colours, all wear flatlander-turned-fashion-designer Jimmy Petitet's signature. Flatlanders from everywhere started to drip in on Saturday afternoon, Lionel Cardoso was spinning the wheels of steel and the atmosphere was positive and relaxed. Who were there? When you get a phone call on Tuesday to get on tour on Friday, you don't have much time to prepare. Maybe you don't need much time to decide when you can experience a rock and roll type tour in a full on tour bus. After the first show in Germany and a cancelled show in Belgium, I met up with the Deconstruction tour in Amsterdam for the second stretch. I was the MC for the BMX and skate show on the RedBull ramp. BMX-ers were Zach Shaw, Simon Tabron, Matt Fairbairn and Ronnie Remo. We joined the tour bus with the skateboarders (Jocke Olsson, Ali Cairns, Pete King and Dave Allen) and later on the RedBull ramp building crew stepped on the bus as well. We were part of the Deconstruction tour which had bands play at different venues every night.

The May/June issue of RIDE arrived in the mailbox last week. I took the copy on the Deconstruction tour as there would be plenty of time to kill on the tour bus. It takes a while to read the whole magazine as it has a lot of contributions from different people. I would make a rundown of the magazine but somehow the book disappeared when I grabbed my stuff early in the morning when we arrived at the Malpensa airport to go home.
