ESPN, Inc. and AEG announced that the 11th annual X Games will be held in and around Los Angeles for a third consecutive year. The event is scheduled for August 4-7, 2005. The annual X Games is the premier action sports event in the world and showcases more than 150 of the world's top athletes competing in Bike Stunt, Moto X, Skateboard, Surfing and Wakeboard. X Games 11 will be telecast live on ESPN and ABC. For 2005, the Home Depot Center will host an increased number of X Games competitions, while other events will return to STAPLES Center. Additional venues and ticket sales information will be announced on a later date.

Achim Kujawski is inviting 10 vert riders and some media for a session on the indoor RedBull ramp at a secret location in Oberhausen, Germany. The fact that it is so secret has to do with the space that is left after the ramp has been installed. That space is very limited. There will be a welcome session on Friday April 8th from around 16:00 to 18:00. Saturday is the main thing, session from 12:00 to 18:00 with a highest air around 16:30.

Alan Foster wasn't kidding when he announced weekly FELT BMX news. Here's the latest: -AA Pro racer Paulie Lange went on a road trip up north for some riding last week and ran into flow rider Rob Jensen. It is funny to think that AA Pro racer Paulie is riding around riding the same stuff as a hardcore street rider like Rob. Rob is a new guy on the flow team from Arcata, CA, really cool guy that loves riding his bike. Last month he was tired of all the rain that CA was getting so him and a few friends packed up and spent a week in Hawaii. Low budget style, riding all day and sleeping on the beach at night. Sounded like a really fun trip. -Felt and Scotty Cranmer just got finished designing a new handlebar that will be available before summer. It's not so much of a problem here in Europe but Northern America faces serious shit where BMX bikes are not allowed in the public skateparks. To help change that, several volunteers are doing their best to make people aware that BMX IS NOT A CRIME. Anyway, Dan Haugh over at Transfer BMX is one of the BMX-ers that needs your support. He is collecting petitions so get the bikes in the Sequim park. Visit his site, fill in the form and send it to him. It's a few minutes of your time which isn't too much to ask for if you love riding your bike and want to support BMX. You might end up in Sequim some day.

ESPN Teams Up with X Games Stars to Support Tsunami Relief Efforts 1 March 2005, Bangkok - ESPN will team up with some of the world's best action sports athletes to support tsunami relief efforts with the inaugural Thailand X Games Cup in Bangkok, March 24-27. The event, which will take place at Huamak Indoor Stadium in Bangkok, will feature demonstrations by several former and current X Games champions, including aggressive inline skaters the Yasutoko Brothers from Japan and Fabiola da Silva from Brazil; BMX riders Mat Hoffman, Jamie Bestwick, and Kevin Robinson; and skateboarders Bob Burnquist and Sandro Diaz, among others.
