RIDEBMX May 2005 On display in the retail shops until 12 April Josh Heino gets the cover of the May issue of Ride. Josh also gets the Pro interview where he talks about losing his three main sponsors now that he has a kid on the way. The May issue is all about the FOX poster. You see Nate Wessel do a turn bar on one side (I'm sure it's a sick transfer but it doesn't come across in on single hot) but you should rip it out and check the back side. The UK breeds a lot of good riders. One of them is Anthony Pill, member of the European HARO team since the beginning. Although he's not afraid for adventure and travels a lot, his airmiles account has zero miles on it. Pill simply can't be bothered. What does he care about? In fact, the 1992 BMX Freestyle World Championships took place in Budapest and BMX has stuck with a group of good guys. 6 riders have their own parts and those parts are mixed with riding from more than 15 other guys. Szabo Laszlo has the honour to start off the Ultralight video and if you have any doubts about BMX in Hungary, they're gone after watching Szabo ride. This is modern shredding on spots that most of us have never seen before. That's a good thing about this video. It does have some contest footage, but it's new because it has not shown up in RIDE or any other BMX magazines. They build big jumps too over there so you won't be disappointed.

Sometimes people we know have different hobbies next to riding BMX. 414's Shaun Scarfe has been riding Speedway forever but had a hard time finishing up a complete season because of all the BMX travel, riding and work. It looks like Shaun is doing well this year planning around the Speedway races that have been going on. He's even in the championship hunt. Go Shaun Go! UCI BMX NEWS MAILING 2008 BMX Olympic selection criteria’s The UCI Management Committee recently approved the BMX Olympic selection criteria’s, which will be included in part 11 of the UCI rule book. The Olympic selection criteria’s determines the qualified Nations, while the individual athletes will be selected by each country’s National Olympic Committee.

FEDERAL presents "TRAVAELIO" FEDERAL Bikes has a very strong team that travels all over the world in search of good riding spots. Ed Docherty brought this together in this Federal Team DVD called "Travaelio" and shows his multitalent with working on computers, Filming and Photographing. Very good intros, outstanding filming and the music is excellent too. What about the riding? Are you kidding me? This is the FEDERAL TEAM, that says enough, these men are not afraid to go to the hospital and give everything a try and try as long as they succeed their stunts.

DC Shoes is putting on a pro only Sprint trails event March 19th 2005 in Sanger CA. at Randy Stumpfhauser's house. DC wants to support BMX racing, but is not in the market due to the pedal of choice today, so this event was put together where the pedals of choice will be flat. We would like to invite all Pro Riders to participate in this event. There is no entry fee and riders will have free food and drinks. This is an event that can’t be missed. So bring your skills out and make it happen. This is not your every day backyard event. The track has been manicured and revamped to be one of the most challenging, and fair courses today.
