- Zaandam skatepark is building a giant wooden pool, hope they are not bikehaters like Area 51.
- PURE BMX Distribution is forming its Factory team: Remco Elgersma (FBM), Michiel van Turnhout (FIT), Bas Brouwer (Flybikes), Dennis Keunen (Proper/Shadow), Michael v/d Lee (UGP), Riccardo Moes (SNAFU), and looking for a S&M and WTP rider.......... The new year is upon us. We've survived another year of FATBMX and we're not slowing down. Starting from 1-1-05 we'll be having a new web design. Jos Wissink and Rolf Thijssen have been working hard on the new set-up and it's going to be killer.
When Dennis picked me up in his rad double cabin VW transporter van I only noticed 1 bike in the back. Paul, Bern Buster and Rob were coming along for the fun of it. The case of Bavaria and the 12-pack of Bav-twisters promised nothing but trouble, uh, I should say, it promised good times. 
Everyone knows how hard it is to ride in the wintertime. When the Impact park called for a BMX jam on a Saturday night it was time to make it over there. It was BMX-only from 6pm till midnight. That's 6 hours of riding for a fee of 5 Euros at an indoor park. Not bad. 
Making a skatepark profitable is next to impossible, that's why everyone needs to support them. The original Rollerpark in St. Niklaas has moved into an other location. The old hall was huge, and the current place is humongous. It is safe to say that it has everything you are looking for; a shop, a bar, games, video corner, pinball machine and.....ramps. 
Lierop is a small village in the South of Holland with a big motocross heart. It's got 1500 inhabitants and 569 of them volunteered to work at the MXoN to make it a success.
Even with no team USA present (but we spotted Bubba) it was a great race. To be honest I wasn't sure if team Holland would make it through qualifying on Saturday. Turns out that the Dutch team climbed on the podium on Sunday which surprised everyone. Click "read more" to view the pin*up for this month...
You don't want to know how often I've tried to sit down and write up a story on the UCI World's in Valkenswaard. With the event taking place months ago I'm now trying to remember interesting things that took place in the packed BMX stadium. Here's a little report on the cruiser action.
World Championship events always come with good parties. In 2004 I managed to squeeze in the BMX Freestyle World's in Cologne, Germany, the UCI MTB World's in Les Gets, France and the UCI BMX World Championship after party in Valkenswaard, The Netherlands. How do they compare? 
Robert de Wilde has come up with another update straight out of the USA. Robert is Holland's only pro BMX racer ever who made it to the big time in the USA. He's living the pro life with his wife Mariella in Santa Ana, California. Here's Robert's latest update.
It’s been a while, sorry about that. I think the last little story was in March or April. The season has come to an end now and we have 3 new champions. Kyle Bennett won the NBL title, Bubba Harris won the ABA title and Warwick Stevenson won the UCI title. 
After doing a BMX 'zine for ten years (1987 - 1996) FATBMX made it on the internet. The year was 1998. Here to stay.
