noticed the tents outside which was cool because the noise that was coming from the inside was loud. Had Dan Dryers already started? No, it was a local band that had been added to the program as Quest For Rescue had cancelled their show in the week leading up to the 20th edition of the FAT-JAM. They were hating their cancellation as much as we were and QFR band members Klaus Dyba and Achim Launert showed up anyway and spent 6 hours chatting away at Snackbar 't-Dorpke with their fellow German friends. Achim mentioned it was "Sau Geil" at 't-Dorpke so they will be back at some point for more. Maybe on stage at OJA then, let's seriously hope so as it needs to happen. It was awesome to see Kalle in Ale too. Thanks for coming over guys.
Dan Dryers is a band from Germany that has a bunch of Motocross and MTB guys in it. They offered to play for cheap and free beer so the deal was made fast. 6 of them made it on stage in funny costumes. At this point most people around were wasted so the pit showed up quick. The Social D/Turbonegro sound of Dan Dryers kicked off from the start and the OJA roof almost blew off. They're looking into a new building so that would actually have been good.
Like at most parties, you have to be there to experience it for real. If you sat at home on August 9th, you missed out. When the doors were closed everyone was looking for a place to stay. Dennis', Frans' and Paul's places were favorite but where are they? Glad I had my van parked around the corner. Invited Bjorn as a guest and gave him the back seat. If his buddies made it to the Brabantlaan I do not know.
