The ABA kicked things off huge this past weekend, as the ABA crew outdid themselves with one of the best race tracks ever built at the Reno Livestock arena for the 2007 Pro Series opener. With 25 of the worlds top AA Pros in attendance, the Silver Dollar Nationals was a great weekend of exciting Pro racing and has set the stage for what should be the best year of AA Pro racing in the ABA's history. Randy Stumpfhauser, Brandon Meadows, and Cristian Becerine were all in attendance for the event and here is how they finished up:

Gilbert, Arizona—January 3, 2007— The ABA (American Bicycle Association) will provide live-streaming coverage of the first opening national event on the 2007 BMX (Bicycle Motocross ) racing series. The ABA has previously provided a "live" steaming feed of its national events for fans and racers to get real-time coverage of its national BMX races. Adding this streaming-video coverage is a first and unprecedented for the sport!  The ABA "Silver Dollar Nationals" is one of the premier events on the national-race schedule and it is one of the PRO Series events in 2007. 

January, 2007 (Rancho Dominguez, CA) – Free Agent has announced the line up for their new 2007 World Team. The team is made up of 11 national and world champions from around the globe. Former World Champion and Free Agent Team Manager Dale Holmes has assembled this elite group and will supervise team activities through out the season and up to the 2008 Beijing Olympics. Members of the 2007 Team include:
* Kyle Bennett (United States) USA 2x UCI World Champion, 2x NBL National Champion
* Cristian Becerine (Argentina) Argentina 9 x Argentina National Champion, South American Champion

The NBL's President's Cup kicked off three days of race action at the Columbus Convention Center with bang and Ohio was finally able to take away the title from Florida in dramatic style. Both states earned the required 10 wins so the tie breaker went to total wins and Ohio came out on top.

Elite Series / UCI recap:  Intense's Danny Caluag proved his staying power by earning his first double winning the UCI and Elite Open

Round 2 of the NBL 2007 Points season kicked off at one of the best NBL national events of each and every year, the X-Mas Classic. With one of the best venues for a BMX National event, the X-Mas Classic always has a tough and technical track built for the Pro riders with 2 Pro Strait aways and is always packed full of an international who's who of the Pro Class. Both Randy Stumpfhauser and Cristian Becerine made the trip out to Ohio, looking to add some more impressive results carrying over from the last few events each has attended. Here is how they finished up at the event:

Tom Lynch, a former UK and Euro BMX racing champion, has been awarded the MBE for services to BMXing and 'ambulance cycling'. Tom Lynch founded the Cycle Response Unit (CRU) of the London Ambulance Service in 2000, the first such unit in the UK. A trial had found that medics on bikes almost always got to urban emergency scenes before normal ambulances. In a third of calls, the bicycle ambulance technician was able to cancel a full ambulance response, freeing up precious resources.
