Building on the 2004 success of the hugely popular SNICKERS BOWL at the Download Music festival (the UK's largest international skate and BMX competition), SNICKERS Sundays is a grass-roots initiative, which aims to create a buzz around skateboarding and BMX-ing on a regional level. It's about giving something back to the people that count, the riders. Who knows they could turn into the UK skate and BMX stars of tomorrow. Team SNICKERS members Pete King and Sebastian 'Bas' Keep, who are both well respected names on the UK and international pro-scene, will be attending most events to ride with the locals and offer advice and expertise to those who want to improve their ability. Snickers will also be kitting out each skate-park with special limited edition stickers and banners (only available at Snickers events), along with giving away limited edition skateboards and loads of Snickers bars. The first Snickers Sunday of 2005 will take place on Sunday 6th February at Y2SK8 Park in Peterborough with more events on a weekly basis February sees the launch of the official Snickers Sunday website so for more information on each event or to sign up for internet updates go to www.snickerssunday.co.uk See below for all confirmed SNICKERS Sundays events across the UK (more to be confirmed).
