In a new Play Open division, the overall winner from each stop will receive an exclusive invite, all expense paid trip to Mike Spinner's backyard Play BMX Compound. These top riders will compete in the Monster Army Recon Tour ‘Play AM’ Finals. The overall winner will earn Monster Army contract as well as an invite to Mike Spinner’s Pro Play event to compete against some of the best riders in the world to reveal their biggest tricks.

Spinner started his BMX career as the first rider in history to perform numerous never done before tricks. Over the years Spinner was a constant threat to earn medals at any event he chose to rip. Off the bike, Spinner is a talented showman and spokesman who has been in front of the cameras for NBC, MTV, USA and CBS. Spinner also brings new support to the Recon Tour from his longtime sponsors MovieTickets.com and Hyper Bike Co. Replay XD was a strong supporter of the Winter Recon Tour and is now expanding its involvement to become the Official HD Action Camera for the BMX tour. Nearly $100,000 in cash and prizes is being committed to support the Recon Riders. Monster Army is offering up its Paid to Podium cash to any rider are part of the Monster Army. $150/$100/$50 in prize money will be paid to 1st/2nd/3rd at each of the three events in select amateur divisions.
