Red Bull Backyard Digger is back to help BMXers from different arias to realise their dream spot. This weekend the ‘tour’ starts in Deventer. In three days time the local BMXers, together with the international Red Bull Backyard Digger Team, will built a professional dirt with lines suitable for different levels. On Sunday the 3rd of august at 15.00 the spot will be festively opened. After Deventer our international team will continue trough to Zoetermeer (7th august) and Doetichem (12th august).

The initiative for the spot at Deventer was taken by
Lennard Gols (19) who’s been active as a BMXer nearly six years. In the area around Deventer there isn’t a suitable BMX spot.
“There is one spot, but it is only familiar to a small group of people, illegal and very trash sensitive.” Together with the community of Deventer a suitable piece of land was found.
“The community agreed immediately. With the help of the machines and the know-how of the International Red Bull Backyard Digger Team Deventer will have an awesome spot for beginners and pro’s after this weekend”, says Lennard Gols.

Last year there were not without success spots realised in Amsterdam, Groningen and Leende. Two of the three spots where declared best BMX spot of the country.
Dale Reves, father of two of the boys that participated in creating the spot in Leende, is still very happy about the project.
“Every day after school the kids go to the spot and stay there until dark. It’s nice that the kids have something constructive to do instead of staying inside watching TV.” www.redbullbackyarddigger.nl
