Northern Germany is gearing up for top of the line extreme sports: Next to the world's best wakeboarders the battle of the wakeskaters and the BMX miniramp contest perfect the program, which consists of 40 riders. They're fighting for fame, honour and certainly the proper purse of 45.000 US$. And if that's not adrenaline enough, there's The (International) Noise Conspiracy, Mad Caddies and headliners Rise Against live on stage. Preparations are well underway. Only a few days seperate the fans of the T-Mobile Extreme Playgrounds from the Summer Session 2009. August 30 marks the date: Waiting time is over. The wakeboard, wakeskateand BMX miniramp elites move in on the sought-after titles.
Full power, packed program! Featuring four different competitions and three gigantic liveshows, this year's Summer Session offers it's largest program ever. Rob Darden and 13 of his colleagues throw themselves into the miniramp.
The Wasserski Arena opens its doors at 11am. In between the contests, the Mad Caddies from California and The (International) Noise Conspiracy from Sweden are going to keep the crowds busy. And after all is said and done in the competition department, Rise Against are going to put the punkrock-icing on the cake.
For those who can't attend in person: MTV is going to broadcast the finals, and the Rise Against show live, starting at 8pm! Competition highlights can be seen on DSF on September 9th, starting at 9.30am. Or watch it live on FATBMX
There's just a few Summer Session tickets left! So hurry up, while they're still available through the advance sale at 23 Euros per ticket (plus fee).
