Zach Shaw (UK) left the wethepeople company three weeks ago and is now enjoying the freedom to ride any frame and any part he wants. How long it will be before an other company picks up the vert riders is the question.
In Zach Shaw related news: "I got Married on October the 2nd last year and have been decorating NON stop since we moved into our new house (which is only 5 miles from Stansted airport) ready for the arrival of our baby which should be in the next 8 weeks!"
Another BMX dad coming up. Congratulations and good luck.
The people at FELT have been working on getting their rider line up for 2005 ready. As of right now it looks like they're having team riders in 9 different countries. The riders with the 3 asterisks are the members of the FELT Global team.Germany

We did an interview with Snafu's Mike Collins a few weeks ago. He said he had something up his sleeve but did not want to let it out of the bag. Now is the time. This is what Mike had cooking:
SNAFU WELCOMES PADDY GROSS TO THE TEAM!
Earlier this year, in fact at Interbike this year I was on the hunt for someone to distribute our product in Germany. Coming back from my first experience at the worlds contest and seeing the support and enthusiasm that country has for BMX made me want to find someone or some company whose heart was into our sport and lifestyle. Later that year Achim Kujawski my good friend and Hoffman Bikes Vert rider introduced me to Christoph Huber at Interbike. Christoph was just
Volume bikes' Mike Ardelean has started his very own streetwear label.
After cashing in his royalty checks from his signature bike at Volume, Mike decided to invest it back into BMX and start his own company called LAVAR. Together with his friend Juse, he is producing a small line of t-shirts and sweats. The idea for the label started a while back, but not untill recently did everything fall into place. Expect to see the first offering soon with a new line of products following quickly.
The team consists of Mike Ardelean (obviously), Jim Bauer and local Michigan hero Dan Closser on flow. One or two riders may be added in the near future.

The A-team's BA Baracus is overcoming his worst fear: flying. BA is getting his signature frame from the people at 1664BMX. When asked for more info we received the following answer:
"We would love to send you some more info on the frame, but as of right now B.A Baracus has a tighter grip on that info then he does on his gold chains in a dark alley."
Leave it to the Canadians.......
Mike Castillo, better known as Big Island has found work over in Hollywood. Big is working at Mark Mahoney's tattoo studio called: Shamrock Social Club. It doesn't get much better than that in tattoo land.
Big Island is doing jobs left and right sweeping floors and writing down appointments. With Mark Mahoney around it's a good way to learn how the job gets done. Expect Big to start taking appointments himself in a year or so.
When you're in Hollywood, stop by and say hi. Ph. 310-271-9664
Trivia: Mark Mahoney is the artist who did Pete Augustin's Madusa over 15 years ago.
Kink BMX's Jim Cielencki is opening a bike/skate shop called Sunday Skate BMX in his hometown of Buffalo, NY. It should be open in a few months. He already has a key to the place.
Danny Hickerson won the Front Yard jam held in Ventura, Ca. last week. The contest was organized by Ryan Sher.
Dirty Dan Bogard is finishing up the design of his signature frame. They'll be available some time in May.
The Kink crew was challenged by a unicycle that showed up at their offices. While most people have a hard time hopping on, Jim Cielencki grabbed the thing and just started pedaling. Will it be a new item for his Sunday Skate BMX store?
