New designed street course at the Suzuki BMXMasters Like every year there will be a new street course with all the fun stuff for example spine, wall, ledge etc. It will be a mixture of real street and transitioned obstacles.
Lounge for everybody There will be no backstage areas at the Suzuki BMXMasters. So all visitors and riders can hang out and exchange together. We will arrange a big lounge at the Cologne Jugendpark with cool seats and delicious catering. Chill-out and be together!

The Dew Action Sports Tour previewed its second season Thursday, June 15 in New York City with BMX Park and Vert athlete Dave Mirra and Shaun White, the winner of the 2005 Dew Action Sports Tour Panasonic Open in Skateboard Vert. Mirra and White were interviewed by Matt Lauer on NBC's Today Show. Said Mirra, on the difference between the tour and the X Games: "What's great about the Dew Series is that it's a five-city, five-stop tour. X Games is one big hit; (you) go out there and have a good day (or) have a bad day and it's over with. We have five different stops throughout the country and you gotta be consistent. So if you can win a title at the end of the year, which is for huge prize money, it's amazing." Later in the day, Mirra participated in a NBC affiliate satellite media tour. Mirra was also interviewed live on the Ron Seggi Radio Show and, on June 14, he appeared on SportsNet New York's "Daily News Live."

Cologne/Berlin – 15.06.2006   After great success with the first rebeljam in Berlin in 2005 it was decided to continue the philosophic line with rebeljam. With true spirit and passion the second rebeljam as well will take place at the fantastic and outstanding facilities of Mellowpark in Berlin. In 2005 the goal was to achieve an event where the level of riding was high but the pressure from a normal competition was less. Of course, there has to be schedule to follow but it was important to follow it in a relaxed atmosphere without any hectic. Each participant should have the feeling to be at a great huge session with friends – and basicly this was exactly the way it turned out! Rebeljam is very proud to strengthen even more the already deep relationship with all partners. This is just another proof that a specific idea can only be formed with people and brands that know what´s happening and understand the core and spirit of the sport. Each partner has a great image in the sport and they are focusing 100% on rebeljam to make it yet again happen to be one of the best recognized international bmx competitions out there. From riders for riders that is!

Going all the way back to the BS Series, 2006 is our 15th year anniversary for organizing BMX events. We really wanted to make CFB special this year. We try to do something different every year and to do a event that’s different from any other BMX event out there. Our basic format is it to get the best course builders, provide the best purse at a BMX only event, offer great prizes, and provide the best medical crew at any action sports event. Combine all that with the best BMX contest staff in the business and you have a CFB. We want every rider to leave CFB saying “that was F*%^ awesome!” Our 15-year anniversary CFB was exactly that.

The Fifa World Cup is on its way. All teams have played once in their qualifying group and it can still go either way for all teams. The damn Germans won their second game in a typical German way (score 1-0 in the last minute). Let's see when they're running out of luck. Over the weekend we heard once again that the Americans don't know anything about football. Steve van Doren (Vans' BBQ man) said they needed to start playing with a 3 feet skippy ball to you can see the ball better. Brian Patch opted for 10 feet wider goals so there would be more scoring. Neil Hendrix said that the USA are going to win the cup (haha). Dennis McCoy said.... (well, DMC talks too much and we don't have room for his rants...). 

My full name is Kealoha Duroy Rosecrans. "Kele" became a nick name for me cause people could not pronounce my name right. I am now 35 years young and I was born and raised in Huntington Beach, California. This is a heavy stroll down memory lane for me right now, many of the things I write have never been written or thought of in decades so this is an honor to have a chance for new guys to hear some of my tales and random thoughts of a pivotal time in BMX freestyle and skateboard history.

My first trip to a bmx event was in 1979 at the age of eight. My dad was sponsoring [url=//fatbmx.com/modules/news/article.php?storyid=688]Tinker Juarez[/url] and he invited us out to watch him race. My brother and I got our first bikes from Tinker, they were Mongoose bikes all set up for track. At that time my brother and I were already U.S. champions in skateboarding and doing demos all around the country for Vans.

WHISTLER, BC, June 13   Red Bull Elevation, the world's most progressive BMX dirt-jumping competition, returns to Whistler Mountain on July 1, for a Canada Day blow-out that skips the fireworks but promises its own brand of high-flying entertainment. Red Bull Elevation skyrocketed onto the BMX scene in 2005, when it revolutionized the sport by bringing dirt-jumping back to the trails, Ryan Nyquist back to the podium, and James Foster back to the future with his landing of the first-ever triple tail-whip. This year, BMX icon Jay Miron will again apply his decades of experience to create an even more stunning and immense course, answering the call of the world's best riders to go even bigger and faster. "Last year we raised the bar on every previously held competition. This year, we're raising it on ourselves. Believe it or not - the riders actually want bigger jumps," says Miron. "So let's give the riders what the riders want. Honestly, these guys are going to come as close to flying as anyone's ever come on a bike." 

The next CarolinaBMX.com contest coming up, that Justin Holt is putting on, is the Sleepy Little Town Pro/Am contest. Saturday July 1st 2006 at the badass YMCA Skatepark in China Grove, NC which is right outside of Saulisbury. Signup starts at 11am.

Eastern's Mike Corley is helping Justin get this one rolling. He lives like a mile from the park. The YMCA says they can have full run of the park, and a Friday night practice session is in full effect until midnight (7pm-12pm). Tons of prizes for intermediate and cash purse for pros. It will be a daytime competition and the Doobie Brothers might show up, might not.
